If there is a way that I can do it, will VAC have issues with it? I know its possible, I just dont know how, or if VAC will rape me because of it.Įdit: In DirectX im getting 50 FPS and in OpenGL im getting 250+įixed the issue of low FPS by disabling the discord overlay, but I still want to know how to run CSGO in opengl, because im still about 100 FPS below what openGL gives me, and im planning on buying a 144 hz/4k monitor when they are released. I dont want to dual boot linux and I dont know how to use Wine for other games so I cant switch atm, so is there any way to force run OpenGL in Windows? Ive googled it and it just results in a bunch of people being told "The performance gain isnt worth it." or the like. Houdini FX Version 16.0.557 Platform: windows-x8664-cl19 Operating System: Windows 10 Home 圆4 Qt Version: 5.6.1 Number of Cores: 8 Physical Memory: 15.94 GB Number of Screens: 1 Screen 0: 1920 x 1080 at 0,0 Work Area 0: 1920 x 1050 at 0,0 OpenGL Vendor: NVIDIA Corporation OpenGL Renderer: GeForce GTX 1060/PCIe/SSE2 OpenGL Version: 4.5. Drivers are up to date, literally installed Windows last night and bam still have shit performance. The 1060 has a power grid sipping 120W TDP Note: MSI has shipped the GPU with OC Mode for this review sample. DirectX performance in CSGO is horrible, I booted into Ubuntu and ran CSGO in OpenGL and I got quintuple the FPS at the same settings. The 1060 Gaming X 6G can support a maximum of four displays, a max resolution of 7680 x 4320, and sports three DisplayPort 1.4, one HDMI 2.0b, and one DL-DVI-D for connectivity. First off, I have perfectly capable hardware and nothing is throttling.
